In mountainous areas and on a swampy terrain cableways often represent the only real solution to the problem of timber skidding. From the results it can be seen that productivity in swampy terrains is comparable with the productivity of Larix forest cableway operating in mountainous areas, in a skidding down or up. The exploitation of forest cableways in the marshland has brought some valuable knowledge or specific problems to other users of this technology. A total of 2156 m3 of timber, mostly alder, was skidded for 54 days, of which there were 30 days of operation of the cableway, 9 days the installation and dismantling of the cableway. The achieved average skidding output of the Larix 3T cableway was 71.87 m3 per day. If considering the construction and dismantling of the cableway on all routes, the productivity was 55.28 m3 per day. The average fuel consumption of the Larix 3T cableway (or, in fact, the Zetor Forterra 114 Tractor, was 0.55 l per m3. The forest cableway Larix 3T of the Czech company Training Forest Enterprise Masaryk Forest in the Křtiny was chosen correctly and in difficult conditions of the swamps is surely a good choice.en
