Authors: Azarchyk, R. V.; Balakir, M. V.
Abstract: The taxation cost of the growing stock of wood is a minimum value, which determines the profitability of forestry in Belarus. In many ways this value depends on the size characteristics of the wood stock. These characteristics are determined by taxation indices, which, in turn, through the forestry measures can be affected by people. Therefore in this study we set a goal – to reveal the dependence of size and qualitative characteristics of growin g tree stock on its taxation indices. The data from taxation on 26 plots of mature pine stands of different forest types were used to study the dependence of size and quality characteristics of the stock of pine stands on their inventory indices. Factors (stand characteristics) we re identified to determine the size and patterns of formation of qualitative characteristics of stocks, they are influence these long-indicators. The first priority was to identify those factors which may aff ect the forehead-century as a result of economic activity. According to the results of the correlation analysis four inventory indices were selected: the average age of the stand, its density, relative fullnessand forest type. As a result of the regression analysis were obtained depending on the model size and quality characteristics of the stand from the previously selected major forest indices. The coefficients of determination were analyzed and we can conclude that the regression-equations describe well analyzed according to ( R{2} for most size-quality characteristics of greater than 0.7). These models can be used in the design of forest management activities aimed at building stands with the required size and quality characteristics of wood stock.2015-01-01T00:00:00ZThe data processing system of measuring interpretation of pure pine stands of Ia–II yield classesBakhur, O. Abstract: The data processing system of measuring interpretation of pure pine stands of Ia–II yield classes was developed. The database was created, which ensures the completeness and integrity of information, ease of storage and retrieval of data, and automated processing and calculation of mensuration and deciphering characteristics of forest stand of pure pine stands of Ia–II yield classes. Data analysis was per-formed on a 56 plots. The material was collected during the full-scale inventory of forest stands and measuring interpretation of digita l images by using GIS technology . Structuring the received information was conducted, that making it easier to carry out its analysis and processing: to make inquiries, sample, perform mathematical and statistical operations. Methodology for examination of the interpretive characteristics of pure pine stand is described and the results of the analysis of the relationships between the data obtained from ground-based inventory and measuring interpretation of digital images. Analysis of the results of the research the relationship between mensuration and interpretive characteristics of stand leads to the conclusion that there is a close connection between them. This system involves the performance measurement interpretation of pure pine stands on digital images with the calculation of basic forest indices stand by using regression equations of relationship between mensuration and interpretive characteristics of stand.2015-01-01T00:00:00ZPolicy and strategy of sustainable management of the forests in BelarusZorin, V. Authors: Zorin, V. P.
Abstract: In connection with the introduction of a strategic plan for the development of the forestry sector in Belarus for the period 2015 to 2030, the article focuses on the policy issues, strategies, and methods of forest management and forest sector of the state on the basis of the criteria of sustainable management, in accordance with the national stra tegy of sustainable socio-econom ic development of Belarus until 2020. The priorities of achieving public interest use and reproduction of forest resources are the main points of the policy and strategy of increasing the efficient use of forest resources, land use, and natural resource management. The author gives a gap analysis of species composition, age structure, forest road network, and the use of forest resources. The ma in concepts are the forest sector, agricultural, and forestry land use. The effi ciency of the forestry sector, strategic management decisions are in the implementation of the criteria for sustainable management, the network of model forests of Belarus, forestry financing, investment strategy, biofuels, and personnel policy.2015-01-01T00:00:00ZAssessment methodology of an optimal plan for forest fellingKokhnenko, R. Authors: Kokhnenko, R. V.; Mashkovsky, V. P.
Abstract: This article discusses the method of estimating the optimal plan for felling. The paper deals with the following objectives: to study the nature of influence of the productivity of pine tree stands on the felling age (according to the ripeness of economic forests), the calculation of the average increase in the value of wood in accordance with the current forest fees as well as the defi ning the age at which most cost-effective cutting of stands is achieved. When optimizing the size of the main use it is necessary to distin-guish two problems which, because of their relationship and influence on each other, must be addressed comprehensively: the establishment of the optimum cutting age, based on the theory of ripeness of the forest, and the determination of the annual allowable cut, taking into account the age structure of forests. Methods of assessing the losses from the delays in the felling may be used in the calculation of the objective functions based on this value, and to compare different options for the design of the main forest use.
The indicators of growth of the pine stands: Bagi nsky normal stands, Baginsky modal stands, Zagreyev, Miroshnikov, Yurkevich and the tables of growth of economic forests have been taken as the test data.2015-01-01T00:00:00Z
