Влияние требований к качеству круглых лесоматериалов на установление возраста рубки древостоев (на примере ельников Московской области)

Abstract

At present, the basic criterion for determining the age of technical maturity is the maximal increment of logs of required size, the quality parameters being shifted to the background. Based on the data of bucking of 132 model trees from 18 test plots, the influence of rot size on the outcome of logs of given quality was evaluated as depending on the age of spruce stands in Moscow region. Technical maturity was calculated using obtained dependences of yield of timber of given quality on stand age. The optimal age of spruce forest cutting aimed at getting high-quality timber in Moscow region was shown to be 61-70 years, which is 40 years less than the officially set maturity age.
