dc.description.abstractAn magnesium aluminosilicate Mg[2]A[14]Si[5]O[18] is a high thermal stability and electrical insulating ceramic material (cordierite). Mg[2]A[14i[5]O[18] is commonly synthesized at temperatures from 1350 to 1450°С. We examined the effect of MnO and FeO modifiers on the processes of phase formation in the MgO⋅2Al[2]O[3]⋅5SiO[2] system. (2–X)MgO⋅X(MnО, FeO)⋅2Al[2]O[3]⋅5SiO[2] (X=0–2) ceramic materials were prepared through partial (X<2) or complete (equimolecular X=2) substitution of MnO or FeO for MgO in a magnesium aluminosilicate system.ru
