Overview of python libraries for video conversion

Abstract

The conversion of video from one format to another is a task that requires efficient tools to ensure that encoding and decoding occur with minimal quality loss and time expenditure. In this context, the development and refinement of video processing libraries play a key role in providing flexibility and performance during video conversion. A review of existing libraries will allow us to identify their strengths and weaknesses, which will help developers choose the most suitable tool for their tasks. Thus, several Python programming language libraries were identified that allow developers to convert video files: ffmpegpython, ffmpy, PythonVideo-Converter, and PyAV.
