Influence of TiN-coatings of hard alloy knives on exploitation of wood-cutting milling tool when processing laminated chipboard

The influence of TiN-coatings surface of cutters mill wood tools on wear of cutters for milling special woods was investigated. The TiN-coatings were formed on surfaces of import cutting inserts of mill tools by the method of condensation from a plasma phase in a vacuum with ion bombardment of surface. The element composition coatings and tools, the surface morphology of cutting tools were studied by X-ray microanalysis and transmission electron microscopy. The phase composition of import cutting tools is a hard alloy with type of WC-3. The tools consist of double-blade cutters with TiN coatings for milling special woods showed growth of wear resistance by 20% in comparison with bare tools. There is abrasive chemical type of wear on surface coating of cutters mill tools.

The article points out alternate of technological operations at reinforcing soils of forest roads. It describes a method of mixing and processing of soil by mixture with multi-rotor single-pass soil-mixing machine. This method is more sophisticated and efficient than the use of milling machines, requiring a large number of passes on one track. As skeletal additives, it is offered to use the fractional slag (a waste product of Zhlobin BMP), and as a mineral binder – cement of the grade, which is not below M400. The technical specifications of soil mixing machine D-391, composition of the class to strengthen soils by a leading soil mixing machine D-391 are presented, the sequence of operations to strengthen forest roads using the selected machines is indicated.

The article produced imitation modeling which allows to determine the optimum value was significantly off-season supply of fuel wood as a user stock, and at intermediate warehouses of the enterprises in the light of uneven supply and consumption of raw materials during the year, humidity, and loss of wood substance during long-term open-cumulus storage covering areas such as warehouse and used a system of machines. With the use this method is possible to solve design problems between seasons storage of firewood without capital construction costs, the definition of load-store and used machines for a year.

In the article results over of experimental research of levels of voice pressure (air noise) are brought in a process to treatment of wood of different breeds, and also arboreal materials by the end milling cutters of two different constructions: with continuous and irregular canals taking of shaving from the area of cutting. Experiments realized at the facility, established on the basis of the machining center CNC ROVER B 4.35 (BIESSE, Italy). Continuous drainage channel chip is exposed to high sound pressure levels, both at idle and during cutting. The largest air noise occurs during the cutting of oak (95.3 dBA), and the smallest – MDF (80.9 dBA).

The article presents the study results of operating abilities of ash, pine and spruce wood, of antiseptized spruce and thermo-modified wood. The researches made have shown that as a result of wood thermo-modification the absorption of water and moisture reduces by 20–50%, shrinkage of wood decreases and thus its stability of shape increases, wood strength properties decrease: ability to hold the mount across the fibers decreases by 10–50%, along the fibers – by 30–50%, chipping resistance along the fibers decreases by 20–50%.

The article analyses one of the technologies for wood complex use and outlines the technology for the production of natural linoleum. The paper describes useful properties of one of the components of the referred floor covering (linseed oil) as well as the advantages of natural linoleum over other floor coverings: its bactericidal and antistatic action, wear resistance, fire safety, etc. However, the article points out the following drawback of the described floor covering: high cost, fragility, complicated laying.

One of the important types of work in the warehouses of raw timber companies is a sort of round timber. Transport and sorting of logs in the enterprises of the Republic of Belarus is carried out mainly by longitudinal sorting conveyors. Main indicators of the technical characteristics of these transporters do not meet the requirements of the Belarusian forestry enterprises in a number of parameters. Replacement of obsolete design and procurement of new equipment associated with considerable capital investment. An analysis of existing structures proposed scheme is an automated line to sort of round timber. A new scheme of arrangement will significantly reduce the length of the conveyor and the speed reduction will apply traction body drive lower power and lower the metal structure.

This article dwells upon process design of the log yard where logs are prepared for sawing operations, tree-length materials being of different wood species. The sawing requirements are analyzed which enable efficient and complex use of the raw materials. The necessity to form sort groups before sawing is proved as well as the importance of debarking to obtain high-quality wood chips from lumber waste. The selection of optimal hoisting and transportation equipment is considered in the paper. It also focuses on the features of the technological processes of bucking, sorting and debarking of hardwood raw materials. The paper outlines the technological process and log yard layout.

The technique, which allows you to quickly and efficiently plan the cutting of hardwood in the rough blanks for glued board. The studies program is obtained, which is the optimum scheme of sawing logs destined for a particular specification timber. Schemes of cutting logs obtained by the developed program allows for three rotation log to carry it on the cutting contour band equipment. In addition, the program is such that the second surface of the cut open, the size is a multiple of the rough piece inscribed in the timber. This feature allows you to create a rational plan for cutting timber upon receipt of rough pieces of furniture purpose.

This article examines the construction of sensor for measuring the sagging. It is the frame, which consists of four rods. One of the rods (stock) of is mobile and is found in the contact with the model. Another rod (beam) of is the elastic element, whose deformations are measured with the aid of the strain gage resistors. Remaining two rods lock the kinematics chain, transferring the measured displacement from the stock to the beam. The special feature of sensor is protection from damage, if model will be destroyed or will occur the uncontrollable motion of stock. For this connection of stock and beam it is executed by mobile. As a result this during the uncontrollable motion of stock, which exceeds the range of the measurement of sensor, connection is uncoupled without the destruction. The connection between the displacements of stock and free end of the beam is examined. The relationships between the sizes of rods, which ensure the correct work of sensor, are obtained on this base.

High noise level in the production of particle is one of the main occupational hazards at the Joint-Stock Company “Ivatsevichidrev”. Studies have shown that the maximum excess of permissible levels observed at mid and high frequencies, the most harmful to humans. In the workplace, levels from 1 to 14 dB were measured at workplace of shaving machine operator and the operator of the sorting chips machine PESSA, from 3 to 17 dB at machinist cutting board, from 1 to 4 dB at separator operators workplace. To reduce the harmful effects of noise, new sound insulating cab design was developed for the operators of these jobs.

Such indicators as effective viscosity and static limit of yield point were determined, temperature influence on effective viscosity change was established. Tests results are presented in the form of graphs and mathematical models.

The article presents the methodology and results of experimental studies of friction coefficients that characterize the processing of chipboard tail cutters, knives equipped with vacuum-plasma coatings. The developed technique for determining the coefficient of friction of the back of the blade and the adjacent part of the cutting edge in milling based on the simultaneous registration of the tangential and normal cutting forces on the back of the blade during the cutting process with zero height allowance being taken. The research results have allowed to perform scientific basis of tribological characteristics of vacuum-plasma coatings deposited on the cutting elements, optimization of coating parameters.

The article describes the conditions and the effectiveness of application of prefabricated coverings at forest roads, such as concrete slabs, wooden shields, band coverings and others. Their advantages and disadvantages have been considered. Prefabricated coverings have found a wide application in the transport development of forests located on the water-logged lands. They have high technical-economic indicators. The specific resistance of the vehicle movement is 2–3 times lower than at soil roads. They also reduce the consumption of fuel and lubricating materials. They reduce financial expenses for road maintenance.

In this paper, the following values of the physical and mechanical properties of thermally modified wood in organic oils of: water absorption, deliquescence, the maximum shrinkage, the MOR in static bending, compression and shear parallel to grain, the MOE in static bending. Raising the temperature and time of thermal modification leads to a deterioration of the mechanical and physical properties of the wood better. It is concluded that the operation of a suitable timber under low mechanical stress, or in their absence, as well as in conditions of high humidity.

Glulams bioprotection technology is presented here. Analysis of bio-damaging factors of glulams is done. Basic requirements to the modern antiseptics are given. Influence determination researches of bio-protection means and treatment mode for ultimate stress on glued connection were conducted. The presented technique permits to achieve a high level of glu-lams bio-protection without reducing the strength factors of glued connections.

Article contains results of researches on establishment of interrelation of geometrical parameter on chipper canter machines and technological chips and double blades knives when processing logs on milling of chipper canter machine. The analysis of graphic dependences of length of a slanted part technological chips, corner of a cut of an end face technological chips from size of shift of an axis of a log in relation to an axis of rotation of mills is presented. Expediency of equipment milling of chipper canter machines is confirmed with mechanisms of a vertical centering of logs.

Considered the principal device for sealing veneer with two drive rollers, each with a diameter of 150 mm. Defined the required compression force and feed force veneer veneer with his seal. The simplified scheme of heating of sheet of an interline interval is offered during its consolidation by two steams of rollers. Experimental values of capacity at idling of a quadrilateral milling machine Unimat 23 EL cutting drive are defined at various tool rotation speed and various tool types. It is experimentally established that dependence of cutting drive idling capacity on tool rotation speed has curvilinear character, and dependence of cutting drive idling capacity on tool rotation speed square is close to the linear. It contradicts the theoretical data received by a way of calculations by a technique for metalcutting machines. Accordingly, the idling capacity calculating technique is inapplicable to woodcutting machines not only owing to big divergence of calculated and experimental values, but also because of character discrepancy of experimental and settlement dependences.
