Evolution of forest stands component structure in the comparable limits has been determined. This had been done on the example of four different forest areas of different specializations for the period 1946–2008 years. There have been discovered an increase in the proportion of bedrock stands, highdensity stands as well as of higher class forest stands and reduction in the proportion of stands with undergrowth of specified species and low density stands.

Researches have shown that the efficiency of sulfonylurea herbicides strongly is influenced by soil acidity and the content of a humus. Use of herbicide Terrsan in sowings of the first year of a Pinus silvestris in the dosage of 30 g/ha is possible at pH to 5.5 pH and humus content of more than 3%. At acidity 5.5–6.0 рН and the content of a humus less than 3% the application dose should not exceed 20 g/hа. In sowings of Picea abies at the content of a humus more than 2% it is possible to use dosing 20 g/ha. At lower content of a humus an entering dose should not exceed 10 g/ha.

It is possible to call the present stage of hunting development in Belarus transitional: from extensive to intensive development of wild animals, from predominant public using of game animals to the state and social with maximum commercialization. It is important to define productivity of this transition. By way of forest and hunting economy “Novogrudsky Forestry” example the analysis of results obtained is made: indicators of biological potential, biotechnical and hunting management actions, foreign hunting tourism efficiency, incomes and expenses items are defined. Foreign hunting tourism gives incomes on 66%. One thousand hectares of hunting grounds make income of 13.5 million rubles. Local population using the most part of animals production limit introduces income no more than 10%.

Mineralization of soil is one of the important part in the formation of a new generation of forest after the strip-gradual fellings. Different ways of mineralization have not the same effect onthe formation of natural seeding and undergrowth. Removal of upper layer of soil humus has a positive effect on natural seeding, but a negative one on further undergrowth formation.

Biological method, consisted in stump treatment with preparations on the basis of antagonistic fungus Phlebiopsis gigantea (Fr.) J?lich has a wide application in the complex of protective measures, restricting harmfulness of Heterobasidion spp. Efficacy of pine stump wood colonization with seven strains of P. gigantea, screened during laboratory experiments, was investigated for selection of effective belarusian strains of antagonist. According to conducted experiments two strains that have the best colonization ability in forming fruiting bodies on 76.0–92.6% treated stumps in six months were selected. These strains can underline development of native biological preparation.

In the conditions of Belarus at reforestation and afforestation it is necessary to give preference to a pine, as the most productive. Replacement with pine forests of spruce and oak forests at a stage of reforestation promotes increase of efficiency of woods in 1.2 times. It is necessary to improve technology of creation of the forest cultures, including processing of soil by loosening by strips with simultaneous destruction of stubs and planting of seedlings by forest planting machine, timely and qualitative addition, care of forest carrying out, lightings and clearings. Reconstruction carrying out of small density (0.3–0.5) stands of coniferous and hardwood species by clear cutting at any age with the subsequent formation of normal pine forest stands will allow to raise efficiency of forests in 2-3 times. Efficiency of forests raises in 6 times and more at reconstruction of forest stands of deciduous species by clear cutting at any age with the subsequent creation of forest cultures and formation of normal pine forest stands.

The article snows that while recalculating wood strength factor on the standard 12% moisture content the formulas used give a considerable error. Especially substantial error (7–9%) is ob-served at recalculation of the wood strength tested at the extreme values of the bound moisture range (0% and 30%). Depending on the wood moisture during testing the established error values permit to introduce the necessary corrections into the recalculation results according to the formulas. A method of more precise recalculation of wood strength on 12% moisture content is given in
the article.

Currently in forestry weeding is widely used by way of mowing round, but as a result of it a significant portion of undergrowth is damaged. Application of herbicides in areas where weeding is planed helps to increase the safety of commercially valuable species undergrowth and reduce presence in the composition of undesirable deciduous species.

The estimation results of biological efficiency of modern fungicides in protection of English oak forest plantations from powdery mildew at single, double and triple spraying are given in this article. Experiments carried out in the field conditions showed that falcone has higher protective effect at the oak protection from fungus Microsphaera alphitoides Griff. et Maubl, both in single and in double treatment, falcone and folikur at the triple treatment. The tested fungicides showed not only absence of negative effect on the oak growth, but also stimulated its growth by reducing the affected area.

Researches on various ways of making and technology of cultivation of saplings of a Picea Abies at the compacted schools are conducted. Dependence of application of different practies on individual qualities of saplings, such as the mass of root system, a ratio of above-ground and root parts, diameter of a root neck and height is established. The best term of a making of the compacted school is the late summer during the maximum growth of roots – from August 1 to September 5. Planting at a later date amounts to their winter storage.

It is revealed, that the transformation of ground cover under the action of recess occurs with gradual reduction in the portion of participation before coating and variety of typical forest species and by an increase in the portion of meadow and waste plants with the average recreational loads, by exceeding the meadow plants above the forest with the intensive attendance of forest people and the predominance of the waste plants so on of maximum digression. Are established the average indices of coating data of the groups of the plants of ground cover before the stages of digression. Forest growing on the rich soils is characterized as far as a less notable increase in coating cereals, as far as the more significant coating of waste and meadow plants, and also as far as the larger portion of the trampled surface.

Findings of investigation of a constitution, compound and properties of sod-podzolic weakly gleyey and gleyey forest soils of the Belarus Polesye region are resulted. It is defined gradation analysis and properties. It is specified, that sod-podzolic weakly gleyey and gleyey soils are formed on fluvioglacial and old alluvial sandy and sandy-loam deposits. The humus content in sod-podzolic soils averages 2– 3%. Soils are characterised middle acidic to subacidic reaction of medium, the degree of soils saturation of the base varies from 33% in a humus horizon to 79% in underlaying horizons. They are formed bracken, bilberry and oxalis phylums of ouk-woods on a given soils.

The variety of the most common phytocoenosis of the suburb Minsk is established. In all are revealed 257 species. Their greatest quantity is fixed in pine forests (179) and birch groves (163). Before the unviolated phytocoenosis the greatest quantity of species is revealed before the fir groves. The level of synanthropic species before the wood and bushy tier on the average composes 50%. Before the ground cover the portion of synanthropic species before average 30% reaches maximum with 4–5 stages of recreational digression.

In 2013, a new document “Regulation (EU) No. 995/2010 of the European parliament and of the council of 20 October 2010 laying down the obligations of operators who place timber and timber products on the market of the European Economic Area” comes into effect. As part of the measures to control turnover of illegally harvested timber it is proposed to develop a system that will provide public access to information about the sources and timber suppliers. Export of forest products to the European Union is an important component of Belarusian export. This article presents the analysis of the national system of harvested timber registration on its compliance with the latest EU initiatives. The system of voluntary certification scheme FSC meets the requirements on the control of sources of raw timber origin. However, a certificate does not automatically replace the need for inspections by monitoring organizations of the “due diligence”.

Forest Fund of the Republic of Belarus has undeniable national value. Basis for the formation of a rational age structure of plantations should be an analysis of the dynamics of forest productivity – one of the steps of determining the effectiveness of forest management. The article presents the factor analysis of average stock forested area, and the results indicate that the main factor influencing the productivity of species composition, is the productivity of individual species and the redistribution of specific gravity of areas with tree species according to age classes (structural changes).

In article results of the diameters variation analysis of trunks in pine forest stands depending on age and from average diameter of planting are resulted. The increase of a trees diameters variation expressed in absolute units and reduction of variability of diameters expressed in relative units is noted. The comparative analysis of trees distributions on natural (relative) diameter classes in pine forests of Belarus is carried out. It is shown that the distribution rows received for 3–6 age classes, have no authentic differences among themselves, but authentically differ from the distribution rows received for pine forests of 1 and 2 age classes. Trees distribution rows on natural diameter classes for pine young stands (1–2 class of age), and also for forest stands of 3–6 classes of age are received.

For the characteristic of conditions of growth are accepted a class of bonitet and group of stands. The technology of creation of forest cultures is resulted: processing of soil by loosening of strips by a mill, manual landing of annual seedlings under Kolesov?s sword, addition for the second and third year by the annual seedlings and cares of forest by cutting of vegetation by motor-units (in the conditions of II class of bonitet – 1, I – 2, Ia and Ib – 3 cares). Are not planned cares of forest in the conditions of III–V classes of bonitet. Industrial expenses for creation of forest cultures of 1 hectares fluctuate from 1151.3 (III class of bonitet) to 3906.0 thousand roubles (Ia class of bonitet). Cost of taxes at the age of the principal cuttings changes from 10,296 (V class of bonitet) to 71,912 thousand roubles (Ib class of bonitet). After discounting it has appeared that in the conditions of V class of bonitet expenses for creation of forest cultures exceed the resulted estimation of volume of wood on 298.9 thousand roubles. On other classes of bonitet economic benefit makes from 453.0 to 2601.8 thousand roubles. It is noticed that at the decision of a question on creation of forest cultures it is necessary to consider huge ecological and social value of forests.

Due to the fact that there are still some contradictory viewpoints on the matter of increasing of forest total productivity by cleaning cuttings the given research has been done. The forest total productivity is made up of natural mortality as well as the volume of intermediate and final forest cuttings. It is impossible to indentify correctly the forest trees reaction of different productivity classes when a cleaning cutting has been carried out. Taking into account all facts mentioned above, a special permanent sample forest plot was laid in 1977 by the researchers of forest Silviculture department of the Belarusian State Technological University. The sample plot is represented by a 30-years pine mossy forest stand in Negoreloe experimental forestry enterprise. Based on the data from the permanent sample plot the cleaning cutting effect on productivity of pine mossy forest stands, and the process of their forming when one sampled and cut down trees of different productivity classes has been researched.

In the given work we study the growth characteristics of hybrids pine ordinary in 1 to 3 years of age, resulting in a controlled crossing with various ecotypes. Found that the differences among hybrids in height were more pronounced in the 1-year old, and when the plants age of 3 years, there smoothing growth rate. Better control (40.8 cm) in 3-years of age are growing hybrids from crosses involving aimed ecotypes Estonia (58.8 cm) and Volyn (57.4 cm) of origin. In other cases crosses hybrids pine ordinary grow at or better than the control (41.6–51.6 cm), but the differences were not statistically significant.

The article sets out the theoretical conclusions obtained by comparing the morphological parameters of experimental F1 hybrid (lingonberry (Vaccinium vitis-idaea L.) ? cranberry (Oxycoccus palustris Pers.)) and plant identified in the flora of Magadan initially named as «cranberry small». According to our hypothesis the plant in the Magadan characterized as V. vitis-idaea L. var. minus Lodd. (2n = 24) was the result of natural hybridization having similar time of seasonal development primary diploids (dihaploids) V. vitis-idaea and O. microcarpus (x = 6, 2 n = 12) and the subsequent spontaneous polyploidy arising hybrid.

Intensification of hunting management is promoted by settling density increase of game animals. It increases risk of outbreaks origin of various diseases that will lead to undesirable losses. Together with veterinary service of the Republic of Belarus spread of infectious and invasive diseases monitoring in populations of main game animals species is carried out, and also the methods of their diagnostics are developed. The developed recommendations allow diagnosing such diseases as metastrongilez, trichinosis, parafastsiolopsoz of hoofed animals, eymerioz of wild boars, echinococcosis, strongyloidiasis, rabies, tuberculosis, etc.

Diplodia tip blight is found overall the young pine plantations of Belarus. The prevalence of the disease can reach 40%. One of the most effective protective measure of pine trees is treatment with biological and chemical preparations. Calculations of economic substantiation of modern pesticides applying for plant protection against Diplodia tip blight are given in the article. Investigations showed that applying of fungicide Menara, SC can reduce costs from the disease in the greatest level.

The classification of stands has fulfiled into the stand density and levels yield of stands. Using the materials of enumerated forest mensuration on the 1500 sample plots and the base of forest subcompartments has made the system of prognosis the growth stands. The system includes the regressive models of growth stands on the forest site types for the main forest specieses. The relative increments in height. diameters and stand volume is estimated into the dependence of the average age and index of bonitet class. The models of relative stand increment have created in the pine stands into the stand density and levels yield. The separate models made for actualization of the forest fund. the prognosis the areas and volumes into age classes. the forest mensuration to the middle age of stands and low productivity of stands. The models of prognosis the growth stands intend to the actualization of forest fund. the forest mensuration. projection of the thinning. optimization of the forest harvesting. the monitoring system.
